Not counting spouses, I have 14. </p> <p>Growing up, 7 were local, and 7 lived in other states. Unfortunately almost all the ones that were local were a good bit older than me (3-13 years older) so we weren't really all that close. I was close to some of them growing up (from moms side), we're not close anymore though. I was the youngest cousin on my dads side, and we lived in a different state from them, so we weren't close. Its actually kind of strange to think, but some of my cousins on my dads side are closer in age to my parents than to me. My grandfather was an orphan and raised by his aunt, so his cousins were like siblings (so my dad's second cousins were like first cousins). </p> <p>About 16-20 of the female cousins in that family get together each year for a weekend at the beach. We live all spread over the country, and only 2 of them are roughly the same age, so I wouldn't say I grew up super close to them, but I was closer to different ones at different times of my life.
