We had originally planned on moving next August so we weren't going to get too attached to here. But you know what they say about the best laid plans, so we'll be here for a few more years. </p> <p>I just don't know what age is appropriate for a playgroup. I have a 4 month old and that just seems too young! And I just worry that I'd give all my stuff to someone and then get pregnant the next day and be screwed. I have a friend like that too, we always went to them since they had a baby. I'm always seeing on facebook that they're going camping, having movie night marathons, going to dinner, etc. I understand that I can't go to these things and I'm happy with my life now, I'd much rather have my LO then do these things. The military atmosphere really promotes people banding together for support, so there are a bunch of different "mommy groups" to join. I happened to find a couple good friends in one and then I've also gotten to be good friends with my neighbor.</p> <p>I was the first to get married and now the first to have a baby, so most of my friends back home are single. DD was 2 then. However, she started in a local developmental movement class (similar to Gymboree) at 4 months. I wanted to take her that early because I was on a 6month maternity leave at the time and wanted to take her to a class before returning to work. At 6 months I took her to a baby signs class. All fun!
