LO loves it! But we don't have a membership because we'd have to go every single week for it to pay for itself, not even to save money. I think if we had more than one child, or went as a family versus just LO and I more often, it might be worth it but it's just not. They have a little play area so that should be fun. Adults get in free with each child (also free!). They do some kid stuff that is mostly elem+ age range, but it's nice. Our local-ish science center museum is also free, which is very kid centered. We also get into the natural history museum for free bc of DH's work affiliation. We do have a membership to the aquarium and last year we did a zoo membership. DD isn't into it now though :( she's not a fan of the shark touch-tanks after watching Finding Nemo haha. We haven't used it all that much. We have cultural museum, science museum, and zoo memberships. Except that every time we go, my kids get sick, so I've been avoiding it lately. We go to the zoo maybe 8-10 times per year, the acquarium 3-4 times and the technical museum maybe 4-5 times. We only went to our local museum 3 times but we went to the one near my in-laws (8 hours away) a bunch! We saved 50% on those tickets since we're members of the network, and I think that alone made it worth it this year. There is a little section just for crawlers that is nice (but small). Then there is a larger Under 3 section where crawlers can play too and things for them to cruise on, but no big kids running around. We should go together at some point this winter so you can try it out before you buy! The library also gets passes so it's half price for a day. They are also part of the ASTC, so we get to visit a lot of museums for free, including quite a few children's museums. @mediagirl: Btw, I love your children's museum! But i did have a membership at the Science Centre and we went ALL the time for a year. I plan to renew it when i start my mat leave. My friend had a museum membership and i think she went there often. We go a couple times a month on average, I'd say, when the weather is too hot or rainy to play in the park. She loves it! It's about 1 mile from us so a 15 min walk. I'd like to get back to using it more because it's the perfect place for our daughter at this age (3.5). Do you have a membership to a kids museum? How often do you use it?
