We used to see each other much more often when our babies were newborns, but now they are more "grown up" (19 months now, all of them) we see each other much less. Most of them are so busy with weekend toddler classes, traveling and family life. I only see one of them more regularly now.</p> <p>I enjoyed the get togethers, but at one point I felt a bit obligated because we always have to cook something or prepare something to someone's house. Haha yes I am very lazy. I wonder if that's what the others felt too and that's why we slowly faded out the group getogethers? Another thing is it was frustrating to get all of them together because everyone and their babies always have a different schedule. Maybe you can do a revolving monthly get together. And each member gets to choose a month's theme. ie you can pick potluck this month, Jane can pick park next month, Sue can pick dinner &amp; drinks out the following, etc.</p> <p>I have a online mom group that I have grown very fond of. We joined the toddler group, a neighborhood group and now I'm in an expectant mom's group. It has been really great for us to meet lots of other families. DH introduced me to this girl he went to Hebrew school with after he saw on FB that she was about as pregnant as me. We met around 7/8 months pregnant. She then introduced me to her friend that she teaches and decided to get pregnant with. I also met a good friend through Bradley birth classes. I seriously couldn't have made it through the first few months without them. </p> <p>Now our LOs are all best friends. Its hard to get us all 4 together but I have a weekly playdate with one every Thursday. She's much more flexible with her sons schedule, like me, so we meet up more often/see each other longer. Some I met thru classes, other thru a moms group at my pedis office. We all meet up once a week for a play date and we take a bunch of the same classes. I love it--I love seeing other moms and my Lo gets tons of playtime. I would totally be up for your idea if I were them, as long as it was baby friendly. I think you should suggest it to your friends! I've found that our weekly meetings are something I look forward to, and it's always fun/informative to share what has been going on with us and our LO's. Some of them actually casually know each other through the grapevine, while others are strangers. </p> <p>I was thinking about suggesting a monthly "date" to bring all my mommy friends together, in one space. I've tossed around some ideas in my head like potluck dinners, wine and dessert, an informal book club, clothing swap, or craft night (holiday, baby, or decor). </p> <p>Would you guys be interested in something like this, or would you just view it as another obligation in your life? I don't want to put the offer out there, and eventually regret it. </p>
