Towards the end I had a snoogle supporting one side of me and a pillow propped up on the other side- either belly or back.

I'm 28 weeks and use 1 regular, cheap pillow. 1 good quality side sleeper pillow, and a full body pillow which my husband has nicknamed Paul so he can tell people his wife is home in bed with Paul. He thinks it's hilarious. The regular pillow goes under my head, the side sleeper is parallel with my body propping up the top part of my belly, and the body pillow is between my legs and under the lower part of my belly.

The last week I was pregnant I ended up sleeping on the couch. I would put two pillows against the arm so I was somewhat elevated and lay on my side. That way I could also lean against the back of the couch. It sounds weird but it was the only way I could sleep.

Thanks so much for your feedback, ladies! I'm sure there's not much to do as we get closer to the end, but thought I'd ask. Will have to try out some of your suggestions. (Also, am actually almost 36w -- I guess I'm in denial about how close I am!)

NOW (39w) nothing helps.
I started out with just a head pillow, then got another pillow for my knees and/or belly (depending on my position that night)--now I also have a throw pillow in front of my chest to help with my arms going numb.
zI pretty much want to chop off my arms at this point and I am constantly sore trying to sleep so I just don't sleep much anymore.

Yes! 37 weeks now and I have one between my knee's, one under my belly and the other supporting my back. Nothing is relieving the hip/pelvic pain anymore :-/

I had the same problem. By then end, I had a stack of about 3 pillows that I would drape one leg over and sort of lay half on my side, half on my stomach with my belly hanging in the free space between the pillows and the mattress.

I used my snoogle & thought it was nice because I could put it between my legs, support my stomach, etc to get comfortable depending on that nights (or naps!) discomfort. Good luck!! Not being able to sleep is the worst

I'm 32 weeks. I use 1 euro pillow that I lean against a headboard, I then put 1 king size pillow to prop up my head (so my head is slightly elevated which helps with my heartburn) and then I put my snoogle on the king size pillow and pretty much sleep in a fetal position with the snoogle inbetween my knees.

One pillow under my head, another reserve available if I lose it sometime after I fall asleep. One pillow to hug/snuggle with. One king sized pillow for my legs. It goes between my knees to help with the pressure. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and honestly? Not much is helping right now. I roll side to side a lot to get my back to stop hurting. The pillow situation does make things better, though!

Hi everyone,

I'm almost 35w along and have made it this far without any special pillows for sleeping, aside from a normal king-sized pillow to gently prop up my stomach a little bit while on my side. Sometimes I also squish the bottom part of the pillow between my knees. However, lately when I wake up, my hips are sore from sleeping on my side, even if I constantly change sides all night. At this point, I'm willing to try other pillows or a different configuration if it will help me sleep better and also not wake up quite as sore.

What do you use? Do you think your set-up helps relieve some pressure on your joints and ligaments?

Would love any suggestions. Thanks!
