We have the comfort grand sofa. I love it EXCEPT our slipcover. First time it was delivered it was dirty. Second time, after first wash, it shrunk so much that it ripped when we put it back on (and we knew to put it on damp and everything). So disappointed and I hate that it's sooo expensive to get new slipcover. But yes, it's so comfy and super durable.

I would suggest NOT getting the brushed canvas fabric

not sure about long term but I sat in the sectional at their store and I LOVED it. It was so comfortable and I have back issues too - our couches are cheap and really aggravate my sciatica. In fact during pregnancy it was so bad I couldn't even sit in them. I mostly sit in my rocking chair now.

Anyhow - I sat in the sectional for a while and was in bliss. I could have fallen asleep.

But not sure on the durability.

we have the Buchanan sofa; we've had it for about 3.5 years and it's held up wonderfully. it fits me, my husband, and our 60-lb dog pretty comfortably. it was pretty reasonable for a sofa and the in-home delivery was great!

My aunt has two of the Manhattan chairs...I love them! My parents have two of the slip cover couches. They have the denim slipcovers. My mom has washed them numerous times and they look great! They are super comfortable and we fall asleep on them all the time. We can fit 3 to a sofa if we are all sitting up or two laying down.

I don't have one but we were talking to friends about their's on Friday night. I don't know what model it is but they say that it is really comfortable. And it is only 1 1/2 old but it has held up really well for them and their two dogs.

Getting all the sofas for this house has been a challenge - there are 5! Our family room sofa is a Pearson (as are the 2 in the patio room), but I've finally admitted that I hate it. It's an English roll arm in a houndstooth print and what I hate is that the back has absolutely no support, no matter how much I try to fluff it. This is isn't how it's supposed to be. It gives me horrible back pain!

Plus, it only seats the two of us which won't work in the future, so I'm thinking we'll need a sectional someday as much as I dislike their informal styling. When I was looking at sofas, I tried to steer away from the chain stores but after furnishing this home I can't afford another megabucks sofa.

If you already own a Pottery Barn sofa (especially a sectional), how do you feel about its construction and durability?
