So now we have a regular height. The counter was a furniture store clearance for $100. We used it as a office table for a while then a dining table. Now DH repurposed it as a coffee and end tables for our living room until the girls are older. I think we definitely got our money's worth! It has two chairs on each side facing each other, so 4 total. It's counter height. The best thing is that it has a foot rail under it that makes it so much more comfortable. It works for now since we have DS in an Inglesina fast chair that clips on to the island.
