If bath went long, we might only read one or two short ones. But if it's still earlyish, we will do more. Sometimes we throw in a song or two. If she picks a couple of long ones, we have her choose short ones for the rest (usually a board book). She reads about 20 books to herself after we leave the room. So she's been begging for more after we finish our 3 books. I've been saying no, but it's been leading to huge arguments.</p> <p>Not sure if I should start reading her more books at night - maybe 5, since her books tend to be shorter? Or just enforce the 3 book rule... since maybe she's just fighting bedtime and testing boundaries.</p> <p>In the meantime, do you have a set number of bedtime books? How many do you read - and what do you do when your LO begs for more books? </p>
