Until that song came on I hadn't even noticed that the doctors had music playing while they operated, but suddenly I was listening to every word. It seemed the perfect song for this enormous love I was suddenly feeling and I sang it to her while nursing all the time as a baby. I still call it "our song" and dance with her to it any time it comes on Spotify. I also would cope with my morning sickness and exhaustion by thinking about making an embroidered cloth book based on the lyrics of the song. It's one of those projects I'll probably never do, but thinking about it still makes me happy. It's a country song about a wife and daughter and the passage of time. It came out a couple years ago. Since T was born it's kind of my anthem for her.
