I definitely miss it and would buy one for our kitchen if we had the space. Another plus is that you don't have to take your trash out as often. My parents compost whatever they can for their garden, so not much smelly stuff goes in the compactor. She usually compacts it her self so she doesn't have to take as many trips. I think I have a 20 gallon trash can and if I wanted a larger trash can, I would have to pay more each month. </p> <p>A family member came to visit and suggested we get a trash compactor so we can fit more in our trash bin. It's a good idea but I just don't know if I really want to buy one considering we are just renting our house right now. </p>
