We won't have a TV in the nursery, but we'll have a craft room right next door that will have a TV if we get desperate. Night time feedings will probably happen in the dark, daytime will probably involve some form of entertainment for me. Especially when I'm pumping.

No tv for me either. I actually liked to watch my baby feed so I didn't want any distractions.

I didn't watch tv while feeding in our bedroom. I liked to concentrate on the feeding and get back to sleep as soon as possible. TV wakes me up quite a bit. I can never fall asleep watching TV.

I'm actually planning on leaving one of our laptops in our bedroom in case we want to watch netflix streaming (or we can watch on our phones), and moving our bedroom TV into the guest room so my mom will have a TV of her own she can retreat to when she wants some private time.

Baby's room is on the same floor as our bedroom and our open floor plan living room/kitchen. So while we won't have a TV in his room, I can scoot on over to the TV very easily. I foresee some late night Olympics watching in my future ; ) Also, I plan to have baby in a co-sleeper in our bedroom initially.

I think I watched every season of "How I Met Your Mother" during the first few weeks after Olive was born, when I felt like I was up all night nursing. It seemed like she would nurse for an hour at a time! I used Netflix streaming on my laptop and I would turn the volume down and turn on subtitles. Now she's 4 months and she nurses super fast at night! I barely have to wake up.

I doubt we will. I'd like to get a bassinet for co-sleeping so I don't have to get out of bed for nighttime feedings. I'm not much of a TV watcher in general...I'd rather read or just daydream. :)

I didn't need it at night (I read on my iPad for middle-of-the-night feedings when we were all up in the bedroom), but yeah, I spent all day pretty much on the couch downstairs in front of the TV. I watched soooo much TV on maternity leave... I'd have gone nuts without it. I feel like LO moved fairly quickly to doing shorter nighttime feeds (like 20 minutes) while his daytime feeds could last upwards of 45 minutes.
I also played a ridiculous amount of words with friends games with Australians who were also awake at 3 AM EST. :)

I don't! I was so tired during night feedings I would just close by eyes and fall asleep sometimes! :P

For late night feedings I liked to have quiet. Helps me get back to sleep easier.

Do you keep a TV accessable for those late nights/early mornings when you're feeding or pumping and need something to do? My Mom asked me last night what I'm going to do during those times since we don't have a TV up there and I said, "I'll be on my phone! You'll probably get emails at 2:30 in the morning." :)
