You can coat your waffle maker with butter or left over bacon grease too, to give them more flavor, but you don’t need to. </p> <p>Just prepare your potatoes like usual (shred, wring out all the water, add S&amp;P like you usually do for hash browns) and then just pile them into the waffle maker and close it. For mine, I needed to cook them about 7 minutes, but I’m sure that varies.
