For example, we have a certain monthly amount for eating out, so that spending goes into that category. We have an "entertainment" monthly budget for stuff like movies out, DH golf, drinks with friends, etc. And, we do have some unallocated money for stuff like Starbucks, etc. that we don't really track. We have a certain amount of $ sent aside for stuff like clothes if one of us needs it. We both feel better tracking/budgeting our spending. The fun money will also go towards purchases that may seem unnecessary/extravagant to the other.
