I'm only 24 and my baby fever is raging to the point that I think we'll TTC in a year or two. So if I have #1 at 26 and space them out every 2-3 years, I'll be done in my early 30s even if we have 3 or 4 kids. So it's not something I think about a lot... I had my first at 26, my second will be born when I'm 28, and we're planning the last one for when I'm 30-32 (somewhere in there- we are currently disagreeing on how soon to try for the last one!)</p> <p>We want to be done then, but who knows? I just turned 30 and am pregnant with my first. Ideally we will try to have #2 soon after (start TTC between 6-9 months later) which would leave room in case we wanted to try for number 3. Obviously we may change our minds once this baby is born so if we go for only 2, we have a little bit of time to play with. Of course when I was younger I thought I would have all my kids (2 to 3) by the age of 30, but clearly that didn't happen. Now I'm hoping that we have #1 by the time I'm just turning 35 and #2 VERY soon thereafter. Or if we have twins the first time around (we are going through IVF) we would probably stop then.
