My best friend had a crimping iron, however, so there was a lot of crimping followed by backcombing and hairspray at sleepovers. I got a perm between 7th and 8th grade. My hair was long enough so it wasn't TOO poofy. The problem with the picture I do have though, is that I had spent 2 weeks at a beach condo, so I was DARK!
