'Time in' with LOs more often. Sometimes I go through the whole (short WOH) day without really connecting with LO.

Listen to more music.

Spend more time in nature. We're pretty good at this but I want to do even more and finally go camping this year.

I want to yell less (pick my battles as my mom calls it) and enjoy our time together more. I"m such a "rules" person but I realize i'm spending more time trying to enforce these with a strong-willed daughter that i'm missing out on this precious time. 2016 is really about "letting go and enjoying my family!"

@HappyBaker: lol I love radicchio, it's one of my favorite veggies ;)

My patience has been really thin lately, I need to work on that. It's been a really stressful couple months for us and I keep snapping at normal toddler tantrums/boundary testing, and I need to figure out how to react more calmly because LO's behavior just escalates when I get upset

I just want to get through the next few months with a shred of my sanity in tact. Cranky newborn, active 2.5 year old whose life has just been turned upside down, and no sleep for either parent. My goal is to remember my priorities- my sanity, taking care of basic needs of both children, extra quality time with the toddler when I have a chance, THEN chores.

I want to try some new things with LO. I called about a mommy and me tumbling class that starts in Feb.

I just want to try to enjoy it more and be less of a dragon. I'm going to have two children for 3/4 of next year so I'm going to need to relax more!

Yelling less. At 3.5, it was a rough year. DH and Inhave started implementing time outs a lot more frequently. Before behavior gets out of control and it's really working with her. Neither of us want to be the kind of parent that yells or the time!

@HappyBaker: LOL!!! I have no idea.
I've always wanted to try beets...but not. So this will help me. I actually made spaghetti squash twice this year, felt pretty proud. I usually introduce one new food per year. (Sad to say!) I was a super picky eater as a kid. I now eat way more variety, still there is more to learn!!

@Bao: @808love: I also generally just suck at meal planning so it's nice to be like, hey this week we are having Radicchio as a side (WTF is that? ha) and plan a meal that goes with it.

@Bao: Someone gave me a great book for Christmas - "The 52 New Food Challenge". I haven't read the whole intro yet but the idea is your family tries one new food a week (there's a few options of recipes for each food) and I think there is some sort of game / points related to it. We just started with Kale this week and had my DD pick it out at the grocery store and help me cook it. She only took one bite, but it helped with getting her involved and giving me some guidance on what to try, I always feel overwhelmed with trying anything eating related!

Less screen time. After he discovered the iPad we let it get way out of hand!

This is an EI thing but I want to work with him more on his cognitive skills. We've been focusing on motor and language that now I feel like his cognitive has gotten a little behind.

Argue less with DH in front of her. I get that it is ok to show her some marital conflict resolution, but I definitely need to watch my tone and attitude and responses so that LO gets a view of healthy modeling. So by improving my marriage I will improve my parenting. Win, win!

I don't want to put too much pressure on myself, this past year has been a challenging parenting year, the hardest one yet. But for 2016 there are a few things I would like to work on, as far as parenting goes. I will make my best attempt but not kick myself if I can't make it work without losing my mind. I would like to:
-Work on screen time, being a stay at home mom it's easy to turn a show on to get through the day. I would like to make an effort to have more music on, and less TV. There is no way I will cut TV completely but I'm going to work on how often it's on, overall.
-My patience: This will be a hard one, with a 3 year old and almost 2 year old and staying at home it's easy to lose my mind when they know just how to push my buttons. I'll work on it!
-The girls eating habits: I'm not against sweets/treats but I would like to work on not grabbing what's always easiest or most preferred every time they ask for a snack, which is constantly!

Do you have any parenting related goals for 2016?
