He thinks that we need the empty space for LOs to run around in and play, etc. Our nephews and friends' LOs do always seem to enjoy the open space to run around in that room. Our front formal living room is mainly unfurnished. We didn't have enough furniture moving in from a condo and that was 2 years ago! It has a china cabinet and coffee table in there, but there is NO SEATING! It's pretty crazy when we've had parties and stuff, but it's not a top priority for expenses. Don't worry about furnishing everything right away! We finally JUST ordered a bed for our master bedroom a couple of weeks ago.
