He's a runner, so we like to keep access to the front door gated. We don't have any stairs inside, have a small house, and keep the bedroom doors closed most of the time to keep cats out of beds. So the living space is just kitchen and dining combo and living room, and I want kiddo in my sight anyway. No more baby gates!!!!</p> <p>We only had one gate going down to the family room. DD2, 19m, is very good at going up and down. The lip of the gate seems to be more of a hinderance / trip hazard than anything! </p>
