Now I have a small balance that will be paid off in a couple months. It will be a long time before it's gone, unfortunately. But I'm glad I'm not the only one! I do use it a lot but pay it off in full before it's due. If I am a little short to pay it off, I have a LOC that has a very low interest rate and use that to pay for my CC. Then pay off my LOC when I have that extra cash. Huge life regret. I had a credit card with a very small limit. Then I was booking a trip a needed the limit raised to pay for the plane ticket and tour. I asked for the limit to be raised just high enough to cover that cost ( I had the money to pay, but I had to put it on a cc first. ) The bank told me I was approved to have it raised to a much higher amount. I kept saying I only wanted it raised to the $1500 I needed, but they wouldn't drop it. They kept pushing and pushing and pushing to raise it to the max that I was allowed. I finally got annoyed and agreed just to get going. Big mistake. I just kept using it ( I was so young haha) and it finally crept up and now I'm still trying to pay it off. That's one lesson I'll be sure to pass on though. I never have had a credit card. DH had one at one point that he shared with his mom when they were renovating DH's (now our) house when he first bought it. Dh and I only use them for groceries, and pay it off each month. We have been fortunate to be able to save so if we have an emrgency we can use savings and not a credit card. We've always paid it off each month, and will continue to do so. We LOVE them for the cash back rewards!
