Living in Florida, it's so foreign to me that there are areas of the country where this isn't common at all. I used to live in Chicago and it was almost impossible to find apartments with central air (which is crazy, because it gets wicked hot there). I hate it so much!! We have a two story house with one AC unit on each floor. It's not enough to keep the house cool. The house cooled pretty well for the most part but winters were killer with the drafty wood floors! burrrrrrrr.</p> <p>Lol... the funny thing is how our 2 story townhouse cools/heats. I had to go all last summer, pregnant, living on the 3rd floor in an apartment, during a heat wave, with a tiny little wall unit that didn't work. So I'm pretty excited to have central air now! </p>
