Although I have it free from my employer, pretty much all dental insurance coverage is capped around 1k so it basically covers only 1 root canal or crown and then you are paying out of pocket anyway. We always get bills after the visits. My premium went up a tiny bit last year but they gave an added benefit of no copays for preventive care.
