Mostly people just sit in their own corners with familiar faces and a few of us make small talk. We don't see each other, otherwise. They do get together some at our family lake house &amp; @ weddings but really not that often. It's a huge family &amp; everyone is pretty spread out. I have never had a super close relationship with cousins or other relatives. DH's family sees each other ALL the time &amp; I just love it! His moms family all live close to us &amp; his dads family is a bit more spread out but we see them for holidays &amp; a lot in the summertime. In my family everybody always makes a big effort to go to weddings and bar mitzvahs, so we usually see each other pretty regularly. Hubby's family has been trying to get a reunion together, but it hasn't worked out yet and I have a feeling we'll just have to wait until his cousin's bat mitzvah in a couple of years before everyone is together. </p>
