I have a friend who claims that she and her husband will be ready for being woken up by baby since their cats wake them up in the night. I'm like, okay, this is SO not the same. But, I don't say that. For example, whenever I had to take an extended lunch to take my son to his doc appt, he would say things like "You should hire someone to take him. My next door neighbor takes Coco to all his vet appointments." Uhhhh. However after having partially raised a few humans, I have come to the conclusion that they are not comparable endeavors.</p> <p>That said, I will never express that opinion out loud. In general, hearing someone compare raising kids to raising a puppy doesn't drive me crazy or anything... it just makes me think: if only kids were that easy!</p> <p>Do you have friends where if you bring up your kids, they bring up similar stories about their pets? </p>
