They actually make posture braces. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C39C5B8?cache=0d7f6e6389e1c8522a5984591c9293f2&pi=SS115#ref=pd_aw_sims_3
As for me, I do not have good posture. It just never occurs to me! If you come up with a posture challenge, I'm in! :silly:

I used to have great posture and always got compliments on it, but after breastfeeding two kids I got used to slumping over too much! I am working on it though... Practice makes perfect. The most you focus on that, the more it comes naturally!

I had bad posture before starting chiropractic therapy for low back pain. She did all this analysis on me, and I tilted forward so much my head weighed 55lbs, when it should only weigh like 14lbs I think. After six weeks of biweekly adjustments (so 3x) and daily exercises she gave me (which I remembered to do only few times a week), I improved my posture by 30%!!!!! She was so proud of me! And, no back pain. Now I'm on maintenance, but keep up with weekly exercises to improve.

not so much. I make an effort to try to stand up. someone today posted something on facebook along the lines of how when you stand straight, you only have 13 (?) lbs on your neck. but the more you slouch, the more weight is carried on your neck. I wish I could remember who posted it so I could share!

I did gymnastics for 13 years, so it was instilled in me at a young age, it I've noticed I've started slouching as I get older.

Sometimes? When I'm in public I have pretty good posture but when at home with the kiddo or on the PC I tend to slouch over. At times it's my larger chest that reminds me to sit up. Who needs boobs to hang lower than they should? I certainly don't need extra help there. haha.

Everyone says great posture will make you lose 10 pounds and gain 2 inches in height instantly!

Yes.

My mother, ballet... but the real secret is that I sit on an exercise ball instead of a chair at work. All day, every day. It forces you to sit up straight and really works your core and lower back muscles.

@MsLipGloss: my friend had a mother like that too and she also has perfect posture! My mother was te exact opposite. She kind of celebrates lazy. She just posted a poem called "dust if you must " . it basically says you can dust or you can enjoy life, which would be cute if she were just a bit messy but their place is scary hoarder messy and should be declared a landfill. I can't blame her now though. Now it's all on me!

Mine is awful. I slouch a lot, but when I catch myself I correct it. But it doesn't last long. Would love tips on how to permanently fix it!

Yes! My secret? Mostly, a mother who was vigilant about enforcing her no slouching rule, and a distant second would be ballet! People frequently assume I am taller than what I am, and I get compliments on it frequently at work. I didn't realize people notice posture as much as they do.
