I am sure Phoenix does that too though. A coworker of mine has that door bell camera that is advertised on TV. We thermostats, lights controls, and a water sensor. IDK how Nest works, but everything for Insteon is all wifi or electricity based. One of the nice features is the phone app. We can view the cameras when the motion detectors are set off- system is armed and outdoor doors and windows are opened. We can also lock/ unlock the door and change the thermostats while away. </p> <p>So far I have been happy with it. I use the armed security feature a lot when DH travels. My question is do we need special wiring for in place for this especially for the outdoor camera.</p> <p>If you have something other than Nest and are happy with it ? and if so please recommend. We would love something that doubles as monitors for the kids too and can sync to our phones. </p>
