Sometimes I feel like they're a bit dry. Coconut oil has helped me a ton with soreness & dryness. I never feel like lanolin does much for me.

I do on one side. I think my flange is too big for that side, and I haven't gotten around to getting a smaller one. I end up with a circular indention around the nipple after pumping. So I just don't do that side. Not the best advice! Other than check your flange size.

@MrsHotDog: I have a Medela pump and use 36mm shields. My nipples don't rub on the shields. I don't know what else could be causing the pain :(

I did until I switched over to a bigger shield size. I am not sure which pump you have, but an LC told me that the standard 24 mm that comes with Medela pumps are typically too small for the majority of woman.

Just kind of tender in general. I also get a pinching during pumping when milk comes out, especially if I haven't pumped in awhile. 7 weeks PP and they still hurt when I touch them-I thought that'd have stopped by now

It doesn't hurt during but afterwards my nipples are pretty sore. They're also pretty dry. I've been using lanolin but ugh I just hate pumping.
