I love them, and it's fun for DD to have water play and the regular park together as an option (plus I can actually take her to the park in the crazy heat since we can go cool off every few minutes). I wish my neighborhood pool had one, but it's pretty old. There's one at our zoo. I like to take DD to the splash pad when we first get there and then take her to see the animals while she's still wet. The one at the zoo is free with admission (but we are members, so we never pay), a couple of the new parks have awesome ones, and then there are some sprinkled around town at the older parks that are just water spouting out of the ground.
