Each region varies but there are great discounts for Disney and Universal tickets, hotel discounts, super knowledgable travel agents, local park/zoo tickets at a discount, cityguides/maps/tourbooks! I've used them to change a few flat tires and be towed before. I also use their travel agency services a few years ago to plan a trip to Hawaii. We had a tire blowout on a road trip so I called AAA, bought a membership over the phone and immediately had them request service. They were there within an hour and we were in the middle of nowhere. My husband mostly uses it for work because his work vehicle is in rough shape and he drives all over the place for work. His company used to pay for it but the old boss retired and the new boss is trying to crack down on expenses. When we were planning our honeymoon we went to the AAA office and they were somewhat informative and gave us some maps. We use the hotel discounts when we travel. We had to use our friends' last year when I locked my keys in my car at their house. But my FIL owns a vehicle repair and tire shop on the side, so we just make them come get me whenever something happens. That only works locally, though, so AAA might be a good idea. I made a big mess this year by not notifying the DMV of my change of address. As a result I didn't get my registration notice. When I realized what I did I went to AAA to do the change of address and pay for regristration. Naturally it ended up being a year I needed a smog check so I had to do that and make another trip back to AAA to get my tags. I was done with everything in one hour. I would have had to take two afternoons off to do that at the DMV. Just this morning I called in for a service call for a battery diagnostic. They'll come out with a battery for our car and can change it on scene if need be. So hassle free! We've definitely used the towing service the most. :bummed: I don't think we use the membership to our full advantage though. What's your favorite membership perk?
