I hate asking for help. For some reason I feel so guity! Even though I'm with my baby girl all day every day, I feel like if I ask for someone to help me for just a little bit, I'm saying I don't want to be with her. It gives me time to mop the floors, take a shower and do my errands. At first I didn't want to do have help, but I realized I was then trying to jam stuff in on the weekends and was sacrificing family time. So now, I can do what I need to do and DS has some play time with his sitter. He hates her, but she takes him out in his stroller for long walks and she hold him when he sleeps. He forces me to stop pushing through and reminds me to take care of myself.</p> <p>The more practice I get at it, the easier it is. We are fortunate and could afford help like live-in nanny, regular nanny, regular babysitter, etc and yet we choose not to (we don't have any family around to help). Well, I guess I do. I think my hubs wouldn't mind if we had a babysitter more often. I often feel silly being tired/stressed when there is an easy solution of calling up a babysitter. I am so stubborn, though. Anyone else like this? </p> <p>Perhaps some of the mommy guilt is also at play here...like I should be taking care of my daughter and not paying someone else to do it. </p>
