Me too. Exactly this moment. I skipped Tuesday because of an ENT appt for LO at 7:30am.... (usually I woke up early to work out, but I don't want to get up at 5:30am) - and then after that, I was so dead tired every day and had very little motivation to work out. I tried to sleep a bit earlier (well, I usually only sleep 4-5 hours a night, so earlier means I sleep 6 hours a night), and I even start snacking LO's goldfishes by the handful because I wonder if maybe I haven't eaten enough (i've been trying to do 1200-1300 cal diet)! LOL This morning I felt a bit better though... but still tired.

Maybe you lose some weight and your body is adjusting? I haven't read everyone's replies though.

@Mamaof2: I wouldn't say too long. About a month. I think there is a chance I could be slightly anemic. I get very very shaky sometimes, especially around my period which I know is a sign. I used to donate blood a lot and was always barely skating by when it came to my iron level.

@Mrs. Sunshine: depending on how long this has been going on it might be a good idea to get some blood work done

could you be anemic?

@Mrs. Sunshine: I actually have some here, but they're different than my usual brand. I don't like the aftertaste, so I haven't been making an effort. I should just go buy my regular prenatals and start taking them. We have just started pulling the goalie again, even though I haven't had a period yet. I've heard it's still possible to get pregnant, first cycle and all, but we're trying not to feel the pressure, and just enjoy ourselves.

@Astro Bee: I'm not. I was for awhile but then I kept forgetting to buy them (mom brain again lol) and then I stopped prioritizing getting some. Maybe I need to start taking some again.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Oh, right. Now I remember you saying your period came back super early again this time. Does the mom brain ever get better? Lol! I'd say it's worth getting the bloodwork done. It does take time to get your energy back, even with the supplements, if that's what it is. Are you still taking prenatals or multivitamins, since you're still breastfeeding? I'll admit, I've slacked off myself.

How's your water intake? It sounds nuts, but I'm exhausted if I'm consistently dehydrated.

@Astro Bee: yes. It freaking came back at 6 weeks! And we are totally EBF. It came back pretty early with LO1 too (4 months). Sounds like I should get a panel done just to be sure. It's really unusual for me to drag this much!

@Mrs. Sunshine: You have your period back? I'm still waiting...

Perhaps it's your iron or B vitamin levels. I've had both deficiencies (separately and years ago), and had low energy levels, until I was prescribed oral supplements for the first, and monthly injections for the second.

@catlady: I highly highly doubt it. It's only been a week since the last day of my last period, I thought that my period was the problem at first but I'm still feeling pretty tired.

I would check in with a doc! It sounds like something is off. I hate to ask, but any chance you are pregnant? Because that's how I get in the first trimester...

@Mamaof2: I do okay. I try to bed in bed by 10. DD1 is up by 645 and DD2 has 1 to 2 wake ups a night. I feel like I felt better when DD2 was getting up every 2 hours! Maybe it's just the length of time it's been since I got an uninterrupted night?

Or maybe I should see a doc.

@HLK208: I don't know if it's possible for me to eat anymore. For example, this morning I had 2 slices of spinach and feta fritata, 2 cups of coffee and a large baked sweet potato. I had a mid morning snack of banana with pb. Lunch was leftover paleo Shepards pie (2 slices) and a huge salad. I'll likely have another snack, dinner and something small before bed. I added in the morning snack when I started feeling so exhausted because I thought maybe I wasn't eating enough but it hasn't really helped....I feel like I eat an excessive amount of food

Are you eating enough?? I use to never eat enough and I would end up skipping workouts or binging because my energy level was so low.

I find myself really struggling to get rest time lately. In the past, I'll take a day or two off of working out and am able to get right back to it. Even when I didn't feel like doing it, I always stared to feel much better and much more.motivated once I started to move. But lately I am just struggling. I am tired. I'm not even working out that hard (all I have are 10 lb kettlebells that I use to workout at home.) I usually do a home workout of some kind (usually interval) with the weights and/or yoga. I usually take weekends off. But lately I've been skipping the weights because my arms and legs feel so heavy and even gentle yoga sometimes feels like work to me. I just can't stop. Everyday I think "I'm tired but I know I'll feel good if I just do a little bit of movement." But then I don't feel better. I just feel exhausted. Any one else really struggle with taking breaks, even from the "easy" stuff?
