All of our windows are finished with a marble slab, but they don't have trim or framing. We had plantation shutters instslled in two of the rooms and thosee are trimmed. They are pretty basic but I don't think you need more than that. No trim around the window. Just the sills that have some molding underneath... infact I even want to say it is all one piece but I have never paid enough attention to know for sure.. I have actually never seen a house without them! One of the things they scrimped on was window sills and trim. We don't have anything. We just have the painted bump out for the window and the window itself.</p> <p>BUT! This weekend, my husband and his Dad built me a window sill and framed out our window. It makes our kitchen look 100% better already! I have to take a picture when it's finished (they still have to put up the apron). </p>
