However, my belly kind of made me look wider rather than sticking out very far. We all carry differently! I gained 30 lbs and ha a 5.5 lb baby so you never know! The comments from people don't really help. My doctor's office is really good about not really telling me about how much weight I've put on-if I ask how much, she'll just be like "1 pounds this appointment" or whatever. I'm constantly being told I look big! In fact, I get asked "Are you sure you're not having twins?" multiple times a day. I just smile and say "There's only one in there. It kinda annoyed me because it's not like I could really help what size I was. Around 30 weeks, an employee at a grocery store told me they weren't equipped to deliver babies. I told her I still had 10 weeks to go. Her jaw dropped! Regardless, I'm trying to watch my weight gain in the latter half of this pregnancy. I've been getting nonstop comments about "eat more" "you are NOT six+ months" "baby must be tiny" etc. While I appreciate concern/compliment/etc.; it's really frustrating when I know the # of lbs of I've gained, that baby is healthy, and that I am trying to stay under 35 lbs so that L&D and post partum are good for both me and LO.
