The non-traditional names tend to be last names - for example, my neighbor's son's name is her maiden name. </p> <p>I love traditional names! My DS has a classic name although he goes by that name's nickname (Jack). A lot of people didn't understand why we would name him John if we wanted to call him Jack! I find Utah naming trends fascinating, especially when you look at how many names that are now common (e.g. Natalie) originated from Utah. </p>
