We have a schedule, but we're also pretty flexible about it. We also have a set bath time, 7:00. But if she is super tired and fussy, we'll do it a little earlier. Or if she's playing and happy, we'll do it later because then she's more likely to sleep in later. The time is really just a guide, not a must do.

a schedule makes our lives more sane. that being said, lately we've been having playdates every friday evening and pushing charlie's bedtime back up to 2 hours. now that he's older he's better able to handle it, and our friends do it too without any problems.

we were sooooo strict with charlie's schedule, but i'd definitely like olive to be more flexible. well she's going to have to be no matter what since she has an older brother!

@Andrea: Haha good eye! But I think this is the only lonely thread I've commented on today...

There actually aren't many of them... you can see a complete list here:

Every time we settle into a schedule, Charlie decides to mix it up! So I don't ever get tired of a particular schedule, because he doesn't let us haha!

It seems like most people these days have their kids on a schedule since everyone's busier than ever and I guess it just organizes chaos. I don't think previous generations followed schedules so closely though. It was more freestyle I guess?

I've kept my LO on a schedule since almost day 1 since I don't like surprises. However, sometimes it does get monotonous. Like I've been giving her a bath at 6:15 pm every night for the past 18 months now (except for weekends when DH does it). I think a schedule is great and I wouldn't go without one but sometimes I do get tired of it. How about you? Are there ways you've found to keep the routine interesting?
