Ever since I was kid we've made it as a family. Lugging sap buckets up the snowy hill for two months in the winter was our old way but we've upgraded to tubing and a large collection tank! We just bought a new, bigger fridge and he has finally conceded that anything specifically marked refrigerate after opening can go in there now. </p> <p>We do put maple syrup in the fridge but only because ants are a huge issue here in the tropics and they love the bottle of maple syrup, no matter how tightly it's closed or how well we've cleaned it off.
