My aunt died of a very aggressive cancer that we believe was caused by her not following x-ray safety protocol as a nurse for years and years.
My MIL is in remission from breast cancer
My uncle on my dad's side has prostate cancer

Very sad, awful, awful disease.

My aunt has just started treatment for stage 3 uterine cancer :(
My friends mom just passes away from cervical cancer that spread to her brain and throughout her body. So, so horrible :(
My SILs mom died of a rare blood cancer 4 years ago

My uncle's sisters and brother are all diagnosed with cancer. He's the only one left that isn't (*knocking on wood he NEVER does*). My grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer and hubby's uncle was diagnosed with some kind of cancer a few months back and they gave him 6 months to live. He beat the odds and is living life like he never had cancer!!

In 6th grade, I knew a girl that got diagnosed with cancer. She was so young!! A pre-school friend of mine recently lost her mother to breast cancer. Sigh. So sad!!

Yep! A lady I used to work with was just diagnosed with breast cancer along with a doc I worked with too--she was diagnosed with it as well. Both are not even 40 years old.
My grandpa died from stage 4 colon cancer and his dad died from lymphoma. My grandma had colon cancer as well but she's still kickin at 90+ years old.
My mom's friend was diagnosed with ovarian cancer earlier this year. Her tumor markers aren't coming down and it's not looking like she'll be around much longer. She's only 48 (maybe).
It's such an awful awful disease. It's everywhere. :((

My mom's MIL was just diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. My mom, cousin, and DH's grandmother are all breast cancer survivors...but unfortunately I know more people who lost their battle with cancer than survivors.

My co-worker :( he leaves for treatments every week and though he's handling it well, I know that chemo is so hard on the body. I pray for him all the time. I just hope he gets better.

I've had relatives that have battled cancer, too. My aunt had breast cancer, was diagnosed shortly after giving birth to my little cousin. She missed a lot of the first year of his life because she was in the hospital. But she kicked her cancer's ass and has spent the past 21 years raising money for cancer research. She's such an inspiration.
Let's hope they find a cure soon <3
