A close friend. Her two oldest (twins) are in a local pre-school and her baby is home with a nanny. When I'm on service, Mr. Jacks stays home. But I've had a bit of mission creep so I've been going in to the hospital for all my meetings and just bringing baby Theo with me. He's also helped me teach my first year med students a few times. </p> <p>In July I plan to take three weeks completely off and then in August I'll get another week. I don't think I'll even know what to do with myself!</p> <p>We had a nanny until last year and she was a completely trusted person to us-- beloved by the girls... And then for whatever reason she completely imploded. It shook my faith in nannies. So we're going to try and have all three at the Montessori school. Every once in awhile, the Montessori school will take one classroom baby. We have applied to see if Theo can be that baby. We trust the teachers deeply and have had a child in that classroom since 2011. And we would likely get a discount for having three kids in the same program. I can't take my daughters out of school, so this makes more sense than getting a nanny for one child and school for the other two. We'd pay a lot more with that kind of double coverage.</p> <p>If Theo doesn't make the cut at Montessori, my hospital offers very flexible daycare. She has 3 under 4 and a ton of dogs. She works 12+ hr days and commutes an hour each way to work. Husband is a SAHD, working odd jobs here and there and her mother/MIL helped watch the kids a few days a week.
