@Honeydew: Oh wow, I am impressed with your box! I agree that they get you with the presentation and those cards that show you how to mix and match the items.

I've read a bit about how they relabel the clothes, making it impossible to try to find a less expensive alternative. They recently where making the rounds on the web about how they had sent a client a pair of shorts with a Nordstrom rack tag on it. So, that alone makes me skeptical.

I did one box- I have a hard to shop for body type (very large chest, pudgy tummy, short waisted, petite) so everything was just a tiny bit off in fit and definitely on the higher end of what is spend- but only for something perfect, you know? I have coworkers who love it and say the boxes get better and better with more feedback- so who knows?

I've gotten 2 boxes and LOVED them both. I feel like they both captured my style almost perfectly. The price points were a little wonky--the jeans were $88, which I personally think is not bad for jeans, considering that "designer" jeans are much more, and if you use your $20, then it's about what Gap jeans cost. But some of the tops were a bit expensive--I only kept those tops that I felt "fit" the price--so a $50 blousy/silky top, but not a $50 cotton shirt.

All in all I love it! It's like opening a birthday present when it comes :) I wish I could do it more but can't justify more than every other month or so.

I have wanted to do this for ages but was ttc and afraid to waste money on clothes that might never fit me again. But I HATE shopping and would absolutely do it post partum to splurge once I have (hopefully) shed the baby weight.

I did it twice and enjoyed it but wasn't overly impressed. I liked looking at the options they sent and it convinced me to try some things I previously thought would never work. I stopped though because I realized that even at the lowest price point I could go into Nordstrom and work with a stylist and pick out a few items in person with someone who can see how things for me etc. I felt better buying 3-4 things from a stylist 3-4x per year as opposed to one per month that I may not love.

So I just got my first Stitch Fix box. The presentation is nice. The box with instruction cards are personalized. I'm a little sticker shocked on some of the items, even though I requested the lowest priced tiers. The 2 dresses they sent are nice in concept, didn't fit the way they should. One was too tight and the other was in an unforgiving material (shows lumps and bumps). One of the tanks they sent also was mashing my chest as well.

There were 2 pieces that I am thinking of keeping. A blue print tank and the grey open cardigan. The cardigan, although I think I probably could find it a TJ Maxx is comfy and I know that I will get a lot of mileage on it.

Here are the pics if this helps :)

Though they are definitely more expensive than $20. :(

Elizabeth & Clark box is $30 and sells shirts. Shirts are $30-20 each, depending if you buy 1, 2 or 3 shirts.

Someone needs to make one from Target clothes!

My boss has done it & loves it. She feels like they send her stuff she would not have chosen herself which helps her expand her wardrobe.

I would love to try it even though we are on a budget but they do not carry plus sizes.

I've gotten 3 boxes so far! I was incredibly disappointed with my second box, but my 3rd was pretty awesome.

It is a bit pricey, but I've found something I want in each box so far, and I also did it to expand my wardrobe to things that I might not even try on in a store.

I find that I like to do it as a treat for myself. When I initially got my promotion, I treated myself to a box. My most recent MC, I said F it and ordered a fix.

Sounds like a great idea... especially coming from someone who *cough* still has American Eagle in their everyday wearing closet. I'm trying to break out of it and try to wear more professional or things more appropriate for my age and my career. I still love American Eagle regular tees, polos and their jeans and my very casual (college) like attire is fine for working a lab. Just trying to improve my style.

Anyway, $75 for a shirt or a dress is more than I'm willing to spend but I love that they pick it out for you. Then I don't have to relay on my fashion (AE) sense.

I do wish it was in the $50 range or lower. I'm fine with Target clothes if it fit me okay.

I like shopping at Ross, Macy, Kohl's, Marshall's and TJ Max for better bargain deals.

My co-worker did it for three months and then canceled it. She brought in all her boxes to show me and here is her, (and my), take. She says that the clothes she received never really quiet captured her style even though she even created a linked pinterest board with items she liked. She felt the fit was fine for the most part. She also felt forced to at least keep something from every box because she didn't want to lose the $20 styling fee.

I saw all the clothes she received and I honestly was not impressed with the quality or styles. I shop a large price range for clothes, from Target/TJ Maxx to Bloomingdales/Saks and everything in between. So I feel I have a good handle on the quality of clothing to expect at various price points. I felt that the clothes she received were priced well above what their quality. There were tops for like $60 that I would easily be found for $30 at TJ Maxx or Nordstrom's Rack. The jewelry that she received looked very cheapy, (F21 quality) but was priced way higher. Also I just felt like the items themselves were nothing interesting or anything that can't easily be found at the mall.

I was super disappointed when I got my first box, I think maybe I just had my hopes up. I didn't love anything and like @sleepymonkey said, I felt like I needed to keep something to avoid wasting my $20. So I kept a blouse with HOT PINK stripes which is totally not my style but the whole reason I did it was to expand my wardrobe. The blouse has grown on me but after getting a second box and only keeping 1 shirt I've decided it isn't worth it and I can find things I like at other stores for less.

I did it. I got 2 boxes. I kept one item from each one and then I stopped doing it because I got pregnant. I think its really fun! However I will say that their business model is such that you feel forced to buy one thing because you pay a $20 styling fee for each box regardless if whether you keep anything. however if you keep one or more items that fee is credited towards whatever you buy. So you can blow thru $20 and not keep anything or keep one thing and get $20 off and end up spending $30 for an OK but not great shirt. Its brilliant! But...I don't know if if do it again. I think they got my style a little wrong even though I wrote pretty detailed feedback.

I agree with what everyone else has said, haha. A little too expensive, but kind of neat if you have the extra cash.

I WILL say, though, that I got my absolute favorite pair of jeans through Stitch Fix - probably because I usually just settle for Old Navy jeans or whatever's on sale. These were much more expensive than what I normally buy, but fit SO good.

I've received two boxes. For the most part, I've liked a few things. One shirt from the first box is my absolute favorite. I'll admit that I'm probably on the higher end of what sizes they have that fit me so I promised myself a new box when I shed some lbs.

Admittedly, some of the items were way off. I asked for dresses for my brother's wedding and they were hideous. I started a Pinterest board so that they'll know my style.

I have been signed up for months and have scheduled and cancelled a couple times. I love the idea, but at those prices I can just talk to a stylist at Nordstrom. I am also really picky about jeans.

I use Rent The Runway for weddings & events.

I just got my first box about a week ago. The pieces were definitely more expensive than I think I would generally spend but they did stay within the budget I said I was comfortable with (the lowest one they offered) I liked everything they picked out except for one (The only reason I didn't like it was that it was too big). They did take inspiration from the pinterest board I sent them. I would definitely do it again but maybe only like 1 or 2 times a year as a treat!

I ordered one box and everything fit like a glove. I requested stuff on the lowest end of their price range (which is still more than I normally can spend on one piece of clothing), but I still felt like most was too outside my style (I wouldn't wear it quite enough) to make the price worth it. I did find the most fantastic pair of jeans that seriously fit like a glove and I adore. I got pregnant the next month (which I knew would happen the second I spent like $75 I think it was on jeans). I am hoping one day I can wear them again and I would be willing to order another box in the future if my budget allows it.

My first Stitch Fix box is arriving today. I'm normally on a TJ Maxx/ Old Navy/ Target budget, but with my post partum body, I kind of need some help. I'm hoping that I can find an outfit.

I figured if I get one "Go to" outfit, then it will be worth the money after about 5 wearings. Yoga pants and old maternity shirts are the only clothes I'm currently wearing, so I need something.

I see a LOT of bloggers hopping on the Stitch Fix train. I know no one in real life who has even ever heard of it. Ha. Has anyone here tried it? Have you continued past box 1?

After reading a bunch of blog posts on it, the clothes that are sent are a bit too pricey for me. Some of them seem cute, though unfortunately I'm on a Target budget. :)
