They were told they were having a girl and the baby shower was apparently nothing but pink (I was unable to attend). She was older when she had her last baby (19yrs ago). She did not get any U/S but she was required to have a amniocentesis. Her results were not good. She found out and was prepared to have a little girl who they beleived would suffer from Down Syn. She had all the training and classes she could get to prepare herself for this....she had a healthy baby boy. It's not very common, especially boys turning out girls, but it DOES happen and no tech is supposed to say 100% </p>
