Because quite honestly, I would have been in a rough mental place if I found out at the u/s it was a boy. To the point where I scheduled an early one to be sure, so I could "deal with my emotions" and no one would know taht we knew. When they said it was a girl I criedddddd. Total happiness. But I knew - especially knowing how much I love my nephew- that if it was a boy I'd fall madly in love the minute I saw him. A boy just scared me more. Still does! I hope I have all girls for that reason! Just plain selfish comfort level. Having only sisters and little girl cousins etc etc, I just am such a girl mom in my mind. She really wanted a girl, like bad. When she had the ultrasound done, she was quiet and didn't post anything for days. She is one of those people who have 12 status updates in one day. People were like "soooo?" She said "it's a boy." When asked of she was excited, she said "yeah." Just one word responses. </p> <p>I totally was a bit happy that it was a boy. I highly doubt this woman would have had the same reaction. Anyway, after I found out E was a boy one of my other friends was getting ready to get her scan.
