I find so many things at babygap, Janie and Jack, and TJMaxx/Marshalls on super crazy clearance but don't buy them because they're not the right sizes or seasons for my kids. Then I hear about moms who don't have one of those stores nearby and wonder if they'd pay a little more than what I paid! They go to garage sales and buy things for very cheap and sell them for a LOT more. Like $3 for a purse that sells for $100! She sold mostly children's clothing. This was from like 1998-2000ish, when she was a single Mom who also waitressed at night. Back then, she would hit the Gap kids clearance racks and buy whatever they had the cheapest in several sizes and then would post one add with all the sizes. I finally got up the courage to strike up a conversation and ask a seller what they sold in their eBay store, and kinda looked at me weirdly and said "Anything." I said "...anything??" and he said "Yeah, anything that makes a profit." So interesting. </p> <p>I just met someone who sells watch straps. His product is so cute and inexpensive. He talked about his experience, and he said that he dropped the price so low that he wasn't making money for about a year. Then once his sales started picking up and his seller status went up, he raised the price little by little. He has a day job and just has racks of product in his house and goes to the post office every morning on the way to work!</p> <p>Do you know anyone who is a powerseller on eBay? What do they sell?? </p>
