I know a few who divorced because they didn't get along anymore, I believe that's why counseling is available.</p> <p>That being said I'm divorced and so is my husband. I was in a verbally and physically abusive marriage (married at 17, divorced at 23) and I could write a novel about that experience. She has a one-year old daughter and she tried very hard to make things work for the last year, but finally decided it was better for her and her daughter that she and her husband divorce and I agree with her. However, both my younger sister and my husband’s younger brother are recently divorced. She’s 21 and he’s 23. She was married to someone in the military and there was a lot of cheating involved. It was an ugly situation. My BIL’s situation was a grew up and grew apart circumstance. It was so sad and a very hard on me. 2 of the girls cut off all communication with us and basically started a new life. In all 3 cases it was the wife that cheated on the husband. One of them started dating someone else and got pregnant while she was still under the same roof as the husband.<br /> I will say that it made my husband and I's relationship stronger. There were things I noticed about her husband before they got married and I wondered why she would marry him despite those things. Turned out there were even more serious problems but she married him because it was "time" after being together five years. She says she didn't know about the other stuff but I think she did. Anyway, I don't think she put much thought into her marriage or her divorce. Other than that I know about 10 other early 20s (or younger) married couples that are not getting divorced.
