That being said, I don't think I'll ever feel magical or beautiful while pregnant. I didn't gain a ton of weight or anything, it was just 41 weeks of discomfort for me. I just don't love it. My mother's mouth will never cease to amaze me!!!! Lol:)</p> <p>I kind of have to admit that while I also think pregnancy is beautiful and wonderful, it is definitely not sexy. This has been the first time in DH and my life where things are not hot and steamy, mainly because it's really hard to ignore a huge stomach. He loves my tummy, and we both feel like my body is beautiful right now, but neither of us feel very "sexy" about my body. We tried to overcome this mental block. We really tried (and we definitely never had to try before!), but something always breaks our concentration- like one time while we were trying to be all sexy and my tummy was touching him, she kicked him HARD and we both busted out laughing and all the sexiness went "Poof!" She wouldn't say it out loud, but she can make faces that say is plenty loud anyway. She doesn't get this trend of tight clothes hugging your belly (as opposed to the big shapeless styles that were her only options when she was pregnant). She thinks it is so gross and has told me that over and over. And over. She will be here when H is born and staying with me for 2 weeks, and I finally had to give her a stern talking-to that I'm going to need all the support I can get, and she can't follow me around the house for 2 weeks exclaiming how gross it is that I'm BF'ing my daughter. Especially if I have a hard time! I'll REALLY need her support then!</p> <p>She also hates all the tight maternity clothes I wear, and still cannot believe I wore a bikini pregnant. She does NOT think that maternity photos are beautiful, she actually said, "I just don't know why you would want pictures taken like that." Some women are adorable while pregnant, but let's be honest, there are lots of gross things that happen. And some women just don't carry it as well. I think some women are also repulsed, to an extent, by their own bodies and what happens.
