He was in sales and went back to get his teaching degree after he'd turned fifty. We were so proud of him! Now he makes less than half of what he did before he got his degree, but he loves teaching and the kids love him, so I still think it was a great choice. She and my FIL got married young, had 3 kids and she was a SAHM. They got divorced but she remarried almost immediately and her newer husband had 2 children as well. She raised all 5 of them together and then after quite a gap of time she and DH's stepdad had a son (he was a surprise). Once he started school she went back to college. She played on the college soccer team and was super involved in the private college that she went to. She put her dreams on hOld to support our family while my dad went to med school (he was 44 when he graduated) and to raise us.<br /> I took a leave of absence from law schOol and might go back one day.. My aunt passed away that year but my cousin stuck around to help out until her sister was little older. She got a job, met a guy, got married, had 3 kids but she knew she always wanted to go back when her kids were older. She went back to finish her degree a couple of years ago (at age 39) and then started a Masters in Public Health program! </p> <p>Do you know people who went back to school? </p>
