<description>&#60;p&#62;The BMI is a ridiculous tool to use for body composition.  It doesn't take into account muscle mass vs fat mass, or things like breast size, even head size!  It's stupid.  I know mine, and it says I'm bordering on overweight, even though I'm towards the lower end of the recommended weight range for my height.  It makes zero sense.

<description>&#60;p&#62;BMI is not a very accurate way of determining health. Even weight is a pretty poor indication.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Bodyfat is really the way to determine how healthy your body is.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For instance, let's make up two theoretical people. Both people are 5'7&#34; and weigh 150lbs. However, the first person is 30% bodyfat, while the other is 20% bodyfat.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The first person does not look in very good shape at all, while the second person looks lean, fit and healthy.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;But they have the exact same weight, height and BMI!! :)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Go by how you look and feel. Not by ANY arbitrary number someone tells you to aim at.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Yep, and it's been obese for a while now, which irritates me. Even when I was in HS and worked out 5x a week and was in the best shape of my life/lowest weight thanks to diet and exercise, I was still considered overweight on the BMI. Blegh.
