We fill out a sheet with our "requests" for the baby up front. Usually I try to just verbally leave a comment with the teacher like, she didn't sleep well last night so she might be fussy today, or if she's cold there are socks in her bag, or can you please really try to get her to eat all her food today.

I understand the paci thing. I really don't want to introduce one this late in the game but daycare let her have one. I didn't mind if it was needed to help her go to sleep but sometimes she has it just playing with it when she's awake and I pick her up.

Sometimes I'll note that he's teething so he's cranky, or if I want them to give him saline nose drops or something I'll note that, or if there's something weird about his food that day (like if I send him with blueberries, he has to eat those last because if he gets them first he doesn't want anything else, just more blueberries, etc.). I definitely don't have things to say everyday, but occasionally.

@autumnlove: i know...i think they use the paci to keep them quiet if other kids are sleeping so it probably gets used more than you would at home. =( glad to hear she is adjusting!!

Our daycare has you fill out a sheet when you arrive with some basic info like when your LO was last fed, when they woke up, etc. And then there is a section for special instructions. I'm sure your daycare probably does the same thing. Do you ever write anything in the special instructions section? We used to do it a little bit more when she was itty bitty but we haven't written anything for maybe a year now. But I see some parents write something every day. What do you do?
