Closed for both kids. We used to keep LO1's door opened when he was a baby and then left it cracked opened as he got older.

After she turned 1, we started sleeping with her door closed, and no monitor, with our door open. We live in a smallish place and our door is about 5 feet from her door. We can hear her just fine when she cries, but we don't wake up from her normal, restless sleep habits.

Closed so no light filters in. Also I think our dog would end up going into their room at night and we'd probably trip over him at MOTN feedings.

LO sleeps in our bedroom still, but we always keep the door closed whether we're in there with her or not. Once she is moved to her bedroom we'll keep the door closed still. Both for noise and also because our cats are annoying and mess with people when they sleep. I have a feeling they'd hop in her crib and try to either curl up with her or (more likely) bat at her when she was trying to sleep lol.

Closed, more so now that she's in a big bed and can climb out. Don't want to encourage her getting out of her room during the night so it stays closed.

Our son can open his door, so we leave it closed at night - unless it's hot out, in which case we leave it open so that the a/c can reach his bed.

Our daughter can't open her door and if she wakes up in the middle of the night and sees that it's closed, she will wail until we open it. So we usually leave it open - or at least, make sure that it's open by the time we go to bed.

Do you leave your LO's door open or closed while they sleep?
