Nope! We both work, so it's only "summer" for the boys lol It's business as usual for us!

It hasn't been happening intentionally, but with the sun being up later it is throwing us all off.

This is our first summer with an older baby (15 months) and I'm hoping that we can shift her bedtime a little later since we will both be home for the summer and can get up later. Right now I have to wake her up most mornings at 6 am and so she goes to bed around 6. Hoping to do 7 pm-7 am this summer but only if it works for her! She does stay up later on occasion if we're out on the weekends and still goes to bed fine so I think she will be good.

Yes, not because we want to, but she refuses to sleep until it's dark. We have blackout shades but it doesn't matter, she knows it's not dark out and just won't. It's killing me.

I wouldn't be willing to attempt that until she's much older. At 14 months, she really needs a full night's sleep, so bedtime is still 6:45 at the latest. Blackout film and blackout blinds help a lot.

Nope nope nope. If she stays up late, she's a beast to put down and then she wakes up early. I have blackout curtains in her room so it's very dark in there.

no

DS wakes up at 5:30-6am every day regardless of bedtime so if I want him to get sleep he has to be in bed by 8pm

we have black out curtains in the bedroom

Nope; she wakes up bright and early at 6 no matter what time she goes to sleep so she still goes to sleep at 7:30.

Nope, same schedule, regardless of the time of year for now.

We have blackout blinds. My son likes to talk about how light it is out and how it must be so early, we've had some interesting discussions about the position of the earth and the sun and how it changes during the year.

We are staying pretty close to schedule, but definitely don't hesitate to push it based on what we are doing!
Her normal bedtime is 7:45-8 but it definitely is 8-8:15 most nights!
I am on summer break so we can sleep in if need be!

Haha, no. We like to have adult time after he goes to bed. Plus, he's up around the same time anyways. To wind down we go upstairs and do bath with the blinds closed, and then do stories and songs in his room with blinds closed and black out curtains.

Yep, she doesn't go to daycare in the summer so it's late nights at the beach, pool, family gatherings etc. I love summer !

We haven't been doing it intentionally, but it seems like the girls have been staying up pretty late the last week or so. It stays light until after 9pm now so it's really difficult to get them to wind down. Ideally they would be in bed by 8 but that never happens.

Does your LO stay up later in the summer? If not, how do you get them to wind down when it's still so light out?
