DD2 flat out won't wear anything she doesn't pick out. DD1 wears a uniform to school, so her options with school days are limited, but she still gets to select whether she wants to wear her jumper or her chinos (it's always the jumper), her leggings, funky shoes, hair accessories, and her outfit when she gets home from school. I feel sad when I see kids dressed like tiny adults- they only get one chance to be kids! She mostly only wants to wear dresses which frustrates me sometimes bc there are cute shirts she hardly ever wears. LO often wants to wear her "underwear" (a pair of pajama shorts) over her diaper and under her pants and 2-3 shirts. She also has a hissy fit if I try to do anything to her hair except put the bows that she has chosen in - no ponies or braids - and often the bows are crazy colors. She thankfully doesn't choose PJ's so that's good, but she reallllly likes to wear dresses (frilly/tutus, or summer maxi types). I think most of the little girls in her class do the same thing because they all come to school in some crazy/random getups! Today I had an outfit picked out but the tags were bothering her on the pants, so she changed them. She went to school in red pants with stripes and a pink shirt...I didn't even care one bit! All the other kids at school always have nicely coordinated outfits with matching hair accessories and matching shoes. I have to choose my battles!
