However, the earning rate is 6% on groceries, 3% on gas/dept stores, 1% everything else. I also have the Costco Amex which has -3% back on gas -2% back on travel & dining -1% back everywhere else In addition, it also doubles your warranty up to 1 year so I make big/expensive purchases with my Amex... just in case! Amex also has incredible customer service... I feel like a walking advertisement for them! I have the blue card which is fee free. I mainly use it at Costco since they only take AMEX. Costco also has their AMEX card so you just have one card but I never got around to getting it but you get 2% back. I have rewards for my AMEX card so I guess it's not too bad. It was pretty awesome.
